Season 2 had less romance .
Mild Spoilers. For those curious who haven't seen the anime yet. The main character is "The Guide", he was born with the talent to master every normal skill. This makes him extremely powerful to start off with. His role is meant to keep the hero alive until he/she can reach adulthood, as the hero's innate trait "Hero" forces them to take near suicidal risks before they are are strong enough. The problem is that everyone else in the heroes party is destined to outgrow "The Guide" and no longer need him. I'm only saying this because I know people that have seen the anime who somehow didn't understand this basic plot element.
